The Clearing System - Genium INET Clearing Workstation

One of the main functions of a clearing system is to record trades accurately. Derivatives at NASDAQ OMX Derivatives Markets are cleared in the Genium INET Clearing Workstation, an integrated clearing and back-office system.

Trading in exchange and clearing-listed derivatives are carried out in the Genium INET Trading Workstation, developed by NASDAQ OMX, and are received in real-time by Clearing Workstation. In the back-office environment of Clearing Workstation, customers are able to exercise contracts, view all customers’ contracts and trade history, move positions, and report tailor-made contracts and fixed income products for clearing, etc. The system offers an open interface for both trading and clearing. Members currently use this open interface to have direct access to their in-house trading and clearing systems.

Furthermore, there are few limitations in handling the number of exchange and clearing members, custodian banks, tax collectors, bank accounts, currencies, connected exchanges and clearing organizations or products.

Clearing Workstation also guarantees that all traders remain anonymous in their relationship to each other and that sufficient information concerning all trades is received by the clearing organization.

Clearing Workstation – Reports

The flexibility of Clearing Workstation makes it possible to implement new markets and products swiftly. It also allows for flexible handling of different account structures and fee tables, and enables users to create different reports. The reports give information about posttrade information done in the system.
