 Start Trading and Clearing Options & Futures at NASDAQ OMX
1. Establishment and testing of technical access
Establishment and testing of the NASDAQ OMX Derivatives Markets trading and clearing platform Genium INET*
* Or testing against other chosen trading platform
2. Education and authorization of traders and back-office personnel
A member is required to have a minimum of two of the company’s back office staff authorized for in Genium INET Clearing.
A member is required to have a minimum of two traders authorized for Genium INET Trading

3. Member agreements are sent out from NASDAQ OMX
Member agreements
- Clearing agreement: signed by GCM and NCM*
- Members pledge to NASDAQ OMX: signed by Member, Custodian Institution and NASDAQ OMX**
- Technical access agreement: OMnet license agreement
- License agreements:
i. Genium INET Clearining Workstation – mandatory for all clearing members
ii. Genium INET Trading Workstation – only for those members who intend to use Genium INET Trading Workstation as trading application
- Registration of authorized back office personnel and derivatives traders
- Agreement regarding automatic order routing (AOR)***

4. Sign the member agreements and return to NASDAQ OMX
5. Start trading and clearing options & futures at NASDAQ OMX!
Trading and clearing can start when all agreements have been signed and returned to NASDAQ OMX, technical access has been established and tested and the minimum number of traders and back office personnel are educated and registered.
